"Project Management in a box", was brilliant. A workshop where we got heaps of content without being overwhelming, a wonderful exercise to implement what we learnt, lot's of conversation and fun and finally true to title our info was packaged in a box.
The Strategic plan which Pat Grosse helped to develop, has been an invaluable resource for our Community Centre. The practice of the committee of management and staff working together to develop the document helped to cement the group as a team. Pat's skills in coordination of a wide gamut of opinion and experience created a document that expressed the essence of the work of the centre and provided clear direction into the future. At the centre we use the plan to focus our attention on our core work and it has enabled us to report to our funding body on how we are meeting their strategic objectives for the community. I highly recommend the process of developing a strategic plan for grounding an organisation's purpose and ensuring future sustainability.
We've now completed the first stage of our 3 year Strategic Plan and are ready to go through the recommended 'monitoring and reviewing' process. It's great to have this document to work with; its value becomes even clearer now that we look back to where we started from.
Port Melbourne Neighbourhood Centre (PMNC) has engaged Pat on a variety of projects over the past 12 months and have been very pleased with her work.
Pat has been engaged to develop the Port Melbourne Neighbourhood Centre 2015 -2018 strategic plan and also a smaller action plan for our disability arts program. Through the development of both of these planning projects she has shown her flexibility in being able to use a number of strategic development frameworks and facilitation methods in different settings for different purposes. She has been able to tailor these processes to suit the different scale and needs of the groups and has shown herself to be a skilled facilitator in dealing with a variety of competing interests to get a satisfying result.
I found the appreciative enquiry approach used for the PMNC strategic plan an interesting framework that allowed participants to approach the planning process with new perspectives which helped clarify new goals. The process used on the planning day was probably the best strategic planning process I have ever been involved in. It was extremely well planned, thoughtful and interesting, while producing all the required outcomes.
Pat has shown her flexibility and adaptability in being able to meet a number of organisational needs by being able to successfully and expertly perform a variety of other consultancy roles for PMNC. This includes training and mentoring, grant writing expertise which has brought considerable success and also major project partnership work and the development of MOUs and risk plans for large projects. I have worked closely with pat when jointly writing project and funding submissions and have found her ability to analyse what is needed to take reports to their successful completion has been very helpful.
We are pleased to recommend Pat and will continue to engage her on a variety of projects in the future.
I have worked with Pat for a number of years in various projects. Most recently we worked together in the ACFE Board funded ementors project and a capacity and innovation grant around the MS Lync program.
Pat was a regional ementor for a number of years and as such she advised adult education providers on the design and implementation of elearning solutions that would suit their business issues and challenges. Pat’s advice was seen as practical, useful, doable and creative.
I have always enjoyed working with Pat, as her knowledge and passion for the community sector is very evident in everything she does.
Over the last couple of years, our Executive Board has developed a strong relationship with Pat and her team; a relationship that has supported us through lean times and rapid growth. We have been able to smoothly navigate through changes to our constitution, redefining our strategic directions and improving our governance.
As a peak body for multiculturalism, we take our role seriously and value Pat’s wealth of knowledge and know-how.
I have worked with Pat Gross on a number of projects over the last 10 years. Experience covers workshop facilitation and presentations. A focus of our work together was with the Measuring Impact Project Evaluation Tool. As part of the project team Pat worked co-operatively with other team members to introduce and train community providers in the confident use of this tool and then travelled around the state to support individual agencies and projects in their management of their project evaluation. Measuring Impact was updated and modified by the knowledge and input from team members who brought their experiences to this work.
It is a pleasure to work beside someone who has the ability to understand and respect a diverse range of community providers and who is able to work in a responsive and engaging way.
I had a large conference to plan and so I enlisted the professional event team at the Community Entrepreneur.
They were great. They planned the conference from the beginning to the end, inviting delegates to the conference, promoting the conference, venue suitability, contacting guest speakers etc.
On the day of the conference they ensured everything went to plan and even collected feedback from conference delegates to provide me with a comprehensive report on the success of the conference which was due to the professionalism of the event team at The Community Entrepreneur.
I would certainly engage the team again for any conferences/forums/workshop facilitation and events in the future. A great team to work with!
Pat Grosse has been a source of expert guidance and advice in a range of key areas for CEACA for many years. We call on Pat when we need information on compliance, quality and meeting our regulatory requirements. She is our first call when considering a simple Scope extension or the complexity of applying for national registration. Her assistance is always prompt and responses accurate. We have invited Pat to conduct internal audits as a systems check as well as an excellent staff development activity. She has delivered training to new trainers to explain their compliance responsibilities in a clear and friendly manner.
Pat saved our organisation time, money and significant stress. We will happily continue to use Pat's extensive and expert services to benefit our staff and RTO.
Our Community House engaged The Community Entrepreneur to assist us with Committee development and strategic planning. We are very pleased with the results and the plans have given us renewed focus for the future. The staff were excellent, understood our business and added value during the project development.

Thank you so much for your recent support developing our strategic plan. Your professionalism and knowledge of governance and strategic planning made it possible to develop a quality user friendly and workable document. I especially found mentoring regarding business planning and governance invaluable.
Pat and her staff have been an invaluable resource for our committee. Their energy and commitment have guided our committee over the last few years. We have been able to refer to them for advice. Although we have faced some challenges, we have been able to depend on their support and expertise to guide us through successfully. They are the good right arm for any community group.
Pat’s ability to take our concept, ideas and fit them with a suitable funding grant is exceptional. She understand our vision, organisation and always encourages us to look a further opportunities. Pat’s manner, understanding of people, organisation and funding requirements is a credit to her
